The Residences, Sun Peaks

Project Status: Construction Completed 2007

 

The Residences at Sun Peaks Resort is a project incorporating luxury residential suites, over commercial spaces fronting the pedestrian arcaded street, in the heart of Sun Peaks Village, complete with ramped underground parking on 2 levels.

 

The street is sloped as it wraps around the project site, creating  constantly changing commercial frontage levels, and resulting in a step in the building at the residential floor plate slab over; this complex form follows the village design guidelines to infill a critical site in the village core, extending the retail street, while respecting existing views.

 

The Residences building is connected directly to the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel with a pedestrian bridge link and operates as an all luxury suite extension of the hotel. The project was awarded the NCWCA/NWCA BC “Commercial Exterior Project of the Year Award, 2007” for the EIFS stucco system and detailing used to achieve the desired character for the Village.
